MEDIA AVAILABILITY FOR OVERFLIGHT OF ORANGE COUNTY AFFECTED AREA

WHO: Unified Command Joint Information Center.
   

WHAT:  The Unified Command responding to the spill is scheduled to host a media availability for an overflight in a Coast Guard aircraft over waters off the Orange County coast.

WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. PDT


WHERE: Ross Aviation ​​3250 Airflite Way, Long Beach, CA 90807

Editor’s Note: Space on the overflight will be limited to 8 people (1 person per affiliate), so RSVPs will be required. RSVP by sending an email with “USCG Overflight” in the subject line,  to inquiries@SoCalSpillResponse.com by 6 a.m., with the name of the person who is requesting a spot on the flight. If more media RSVP, a press pool will be implemented. The attending media member must wear closed-toe flat shoes. It is recommended to wear long pants and long sleeves or a jacket while aboard the aircraft. Live shots will not be authorized during the flight. Media credentials and a government-issued ID will be required before boarding the flight. A face mask must be worn throughout the duration of the flight. Flight schedule is subject to changes or cancellation.
